Dear Broker family,
As a health plan, it goes without saying that we take the safety and well-being of our members, employees, partners, and community very seriously. That’s why we wanted to update you on how we’re responding to COVID-19 and the risks associated with it.
What is Devoted Health doing?
Experts have advised that social distancing is the best way to slow the spread of the virus. We’re encouraging our members and employees to stay home as much as possible. We believe this is especially important because the community we serve—those 65 and older—are most at-risk, even more so if they have a chronic condition like lung disease, heart disease, diabetes, or cancer.
We’re also taking extra precautions to ensure our community is fully supported during this time.
- For members: Our Guides are making outbound calls to check that our members are prepared to stay home for an extended time, to identify unmet needs, and to let them know we’re here for them. (If your clients have questions, they can also reach out to us directly at 1-800-338-6833 TTY 711.)
- For agents: We’re cancelling all sales and member retention events as well as face-to-face presentations by our employed agents.
- For our employees: We’re strongly encouraging all employees to work from home, and we’ve put in the place the infrastructure to do it.
What can you do?
We strongly recommend that you and your organization minimize the public exposure of your agents, employees, and beneficiaries. If you need help doing so or have questions, we’re here for you. Connect with your local sales leader to discuss any concerns.
What’s next?
As the situation evolves, we’ll update our website to reflect changes from CMS and our executive team. And we’ll let you if our approach or response changes. If you have any questions, just give us a call at 1-877-764-9446.
Best,
Your Devoted Health team |
