Simply’s COVID-19 SEP Announcement


Good Evening Valued Partners,

Please be advised FEMA has declared that individual and public assistance is available to individuals impacted by COVID-19. This allows for a one-time Special Enrollment Period (SEP) for those affected by COVID-19, in the event they were unable to make an election during another qualifying election period. Please reference the following guidelines for the incident period.

This SEP opportunity will be available to beneficiaries who:​

  • Reside, or resided at the start of the incident period, in an area for which FEMA has declared an emergency or a major disaster and has designated affected counties as being eligible to apply for individual or public level assistance;
  • Had another valid election period at the time of the incident period, and;
  • Did not make an election during their other valid election period.

If the Prospect meets the requirements for the special election period listed above, the agent would select the following SEP: Affected by a weather-related emergency or major disaster (as declared by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)).One of the other statements here applied to me, but I was unable to make my enrollment because of the natural disaster.
